Big, Raw, and Alive. Vintage Tweed Tone in Stereo.

TWEEDY BOIS is a stereo pair of two killer Fender tweed clones—DLX (a Deluxe clone) and SPR (a Super clone). These aren’t just any captures. They’re PLUS captures, meaning they go through an extended, ultra-detailed process to give you the most real, dynamic, and 3D representation of these amps.

I also approached these differently than usual. The way I captured and processed them makes them feel alive—seriously. They’re punchy, full, dynamic, and crispy, with that raw, vintage tweed character that just sings when you dig in. You get rich, harmonic overtones, thick midrange growl, juicy sag, and that iconic tweed compression that makes everything feel touch-sensitive and warm.

What’s Inside?

TWEEDY BOIS gives you two stereo pairs, so you can dial in the perfect tweed feel:

  • I’s – Edge of breakup—fat, chewy mids, killer touch response, and that natural tweed sag when you hit it hard.

  • II’s – Cleaner, but still full of warmth, chime, and that thick, organic bloom that makes old tweeds magic.

Expect gritty but sweet highs, warm and round lows, and that slightly loose, but incredibly musical, compression that tweeds are known for. Whether you want big Americana cleans, bluesy breakup, or vintage rock growl, TWEEDY BOIS gives you the full range in stereo.

Drop these into your rig and feel the vintage tweed magic—alive, raw, and dripping with vibe.

FAQ

  • The bundles are in phase. However, once you start trying different combinations, I cannot guarantee all of them will be in phase. Thankfully, phase misalignment is very easy to resolve. Most FOH consoles have a phase reversal switch, and if you're willing to invest, Pinstripe makes phenomenal DIs that can fix it.

  • In my experience, input trim is highly subjective and varies from person to person. I have captures that sound best (to my ears) at +15, but those same captures work at +8.5 in other rigs. Everyone’s hands and setups are so different! I recommend starting at +8.5 and adjusting from there. You should notice a good amount of sustain, and the captures should feel incredibly dynamic. If you’re lacking either of these, increase the trim. If there’s too much compression or gain, lower the trim.

  • Absolutely. Tweak away! Use your ears. If the high notes are a little too harsh, bring the presence down. If lows are too boomy, bring down depth or bass! You have a lot of wiggle room with these.

  • Yep! CLEANWATER PLUS and MAVERICK & GRAND CANYON (PLUS AND STANDARD) are for you.
