This is the real deal: Brad Paisley’s personal Custom Shop Bruno Underground 30 head and its matching 2×12 Bruno cab loaded with a pair of very broken-in Celestion Alnico Blues. It’s built around the classic AC30 circuit, but it doesn’t behave like any AC30 you’ve played. Bruno rewired it in a way that makes it far more raw and reactive—closer in feel to a Trainwreck than a typical Vox. Pick attack is immediate, overdrive comes on fast and musical, power-supply sag is delicious, and it still cleans up to pristine chime just by rolling back the guitar volume.
Honestly, this is the most dynamic amp I’ve ever plugged into. It hears every tiny change in how hard you hit the strings—light touch stays glassy and clean, a little more wrist gives you that perfect edge-of-breakup crunch, and when you really dig in it roars with this beautiful, blooming transition. It’s one of those amps that responds to every nuance and makes you want to keep playing.

Quick start tip:
Load with Input Trim at +3 dB in TONEX. I usually nudge the gain knob up just a hair once it’s inthe pedal—it adds that last bit of liveliness I hear in the room. These captures are wide open and extremely tweakable. Add lows, cut highs, dial the drive wherever you want—they react like the real amp, no strange artifacts, just honest response.
