TEDDYTONES HXFX

$20.00

These are my presets for the HX Stomp!

I’ve been a fan of the Line6 Helix universe for a long time. I think the amp modeling sounds great, the effects are really cool, and it’s an easy interface to get to know!

One of the biggest requests I’ve gotten over the last year is to create an all-in-one Helix patch and effects presets for HX Stomp. Well, here ya go. :)

My approach in dialing these sounds in was, “If I used HX Stomp for effects, what would I use,” rather than, “Exactly recreate the sounds I have in my H90, LVX, and MercuryX.” The latter is, frankly, not possible, given that Helix and all those other pedals are drastically different. But, getting my preferred style and stack for delays, verbs, and mods, is possible. And, if I do say so myself, these sound pretty dang good.

What you get in this purchase is two patches: DV’s (delays and verbs) and MODS. The DV’s patch is a little more built out, but the MODS patch is just my programmed mods blocks. There are no assigned footswitches or snapshots with these, and here’s why: everyone uses Stomp so differently. I wanted to just provide the programming, and give you the ability to drop in what you need.

FAQ

  • The bundles are in phase. However, once you start trying different combinations, I cannot guarantee all of them will be in phase. Thankfully, phase misalignment is very easy to resolve. Most FOH consoles have a phase reversal switch, and if you're willing to invest, Pinstripe makes phenomenal DIs that can fix it.

  • In my experience, input trim is highly subjective and varies from person to person. I have captures that sound best (to my ears) at +15, but those same captures work at +8.5 in other rigs. Everyone’s hands and setups are so different! I recommend starting at +8.5 and adjusting from there. You should notice a good amount of sustain, and the captures should feel incredibly dynamic. If you’re lacking either of these, increase the trim. If there’s too much compression or gain, lower the trim.

  • Absolutely. Tweak away! Use your ears. If the high notes are a little too harsh, bring the presence down. If lows are too boomy, bring down depth or bass! You have a lot of wiggle room with these.

  • Yep! CLEANWATER PLUS and MAVERICK & GRAND CANYON (PLUS AND STANDARD) are for you.
