Germino is widely regarded as one of the best builders in the world for vintage Marshall circuits. SESSION is a TONEX capture pack of Germino’s Club 40, which is based on a JMP 50 circuit. To make this pack feel even more Nashville, I captured the Club 40 through a Bogner OS212 loaded with G12-65s. This circuit and cab combination has ended up on more records than any of us could count, so SESSION felt like the right name.
I captured every profile with the amp channels jumped. The individual channels sound great on their own, but the real magic happens when you jump them. That’s where this amp opens up and gives you far more usable, compelling sounds. Since most players leave this style of amp jumped anyway, capturing it that way felt like the obvious move. It also makes it much easier to get excellent clean sounds out of this kind of amp. And yes—real clean sounds are included.
